i’ve always loved food…

Hi I'm Marisa Olsen, a Cohasset-based food and lifestyle freelance writer. I'm originally from New York City and New Jersey, but have settled in a small coastal town about 45 minutes south of Boston.

I began my career in marketing for Sotheby's and was at a non profit arts organization called Lower Manhattan Cultural Council for six years. During that time, I developed a food blog called Les Foodites / Girl Loves Food. I decided to pivot and ran a marketing department for a family-run restaurant group in Northern New Jersey called Harvest Restaurants. After having my two children, I began to freelance write for local news sites and national media companies. I love to menu plan, cook, and often think about my next meal. I really do enjoy walks on the beach, dark chocolate, wine, traveling, and snuggling with my family.
