AN EVENING OF INSPIRATION FEATURING OUR AMERICAN DREAM COOKBOOK, SALTY DAYS MEDIA & BUTTONWOOD BOOKS

Last evening, we attended an event celebrating the Our American Dream Cookbook alongside Sam Adams Brewing The American Dream, Salty Days Media, and Buttonwood Books at Oro in Scituate.

Brewing The American Dream is a Boston Beer Company philanthropic foundation that mentors and funds entrepreneurs from around the country. The cookbook is a celebration of the entrepreneurs featuring personal essays, 80 global recipes, and gorgeous photographs. Many of the recipients are immigrants, women, and small business owners from the BIPOC community.

Author Jennifer Glanville Love, Brewer and Director of Brewery Programs of Boston Beer Company and publisher Sara Domville of Salty Days Media shared the ethos of the book while highlighting the philanthropic program as well as the behind-the-scenes process of how the cookbook was produced. We also savored and sipped on Sam Adams beer and some bites from the book, including a smoky blt dip, a farmhouse reuben, and lump crab fritters.

The evening was abuzz with energy and excitement. And, I was one of the raffle winners and came home with a basket full of Sam Adams swag and a few of the entrepreneur’s products, like Hillside Harvest hot sauce, Alicia’s Spice Co. seasoning blend, Colonel De spice rub, American Vinegar Works rice wine vinegar, and Aura’s chocolate. I cannot wait to start cooking, try the products, and plan a visit to the Sam Adams taproom.

For my local food-lovers looking to grow their cookbook collection, the Our American Dream Cookbook can be found at Buttonwood Books.
